Happy Mother's Day to everyone who is a mom or acts (that means totally cool) like a mom!
My collection of homemade gifts is growing on the mantel. Here are a couple of the highlights.
At Muffins with Mom at my son's school, he gave me a book and card with some real treasures inside. In case you couldn't tell by my blog pictures, I'm as pretty as lava -- light, light lava. I thought the second sentence said that I was more beautiful than toast. My son agreed because he couldn't read his own handwriting, but he did look slightly confused about it. Toast = roses. Same thing basically.
And he speaks the truth about how I spend my free time.
Um, photo bomb by his first grade BFF.
P.S. Don't worry, I didn't write this on Mother's Day. I wrote it in advance so that when I have time to myself today I can spend it relaxing. And eating chocolate. Definitely not blogging or running.
Happy Mother's Day!!! xoxoxo H

ReplyDeleteSuper cute homemade gifts. My son wrote in my card that "my mom is 26, runs marathons, loves to snuggle me, & spends most of her time doing homework." Love it. I'm 36, have only ever run a half, but I do love to snuggle. :-)
ReplyDeleteThat is great! I love the artwork and the descriptions of you by your son! Just awesome!
