An almost identical injury happened at this time last year when I was running around the gym track. So maybe this is an old injury flaring up. This time I was on the treadmill, so I can't blame it on tight cornering on the track, last year's injury scapegoat. But I remember feeling so frustrated last year because I had about a month before my first marathon, and I had two weeks of really crappy (i.e. nonexistent) training. So we'll see where this leads, and if I find myself in the same self-pity boat.
I didn't feel sorry for myself long because I got to hang out with my sister yesterday. Remember that she lives in the City of Angels (LA), and we don't get to hang out as much as we would want, like every day. She's a musician, so every time I'm around her, my creative spirit gets revived. It's like we're a constant song factory because pretty much every thing you do can be made into a song. Next up, Yo Momma Raps.
But I should probably leave the situational raps to the pros.
One day, my buns will look as awesome as my sister's. And maybe I could fix my hair too. (insert laugh track)
The boys had a play date at the museum with my brother. From left to right: my son, my nephew, my brother, and my twins. Shoes are optional. Smiling is not.
One last family picture before my sister flew back home.

My daughter really wanted Baby Stout to stay longer. She also wanted to find her matching shoe, so all around, things did not go her way.
And for those of you who ran or hope to run any of the Women's Half Marathon series, I just found this big pile of race stickers hanging out in my drawer. If you want one, message me with your name and mailing address at yomommaruns (at) gmail.com, and I'll mail one to you. If you don't want to stick it on something, it's the perfect size for a coaster.
What is your most recent injury? My miserable foot loves company.
How did you take care of it?
Do you have a favorite rapper? I miss the days of Snoop and Dre together.
